With unmanned drones apparently flying reconnaissance over Iran, the drums of the U.S. war machine continue to beat. Over 100 thousand Iraqis have died in the war, while thousands of American soldiers have been killed or severely wounded. One of the returning soldiers, Jimmy Massey, has delivered a very clear message: “We are committing genocide in Iraq.”

Flipping channels between soap operas, one can come across really cheesy television programming, like the spectacle of Colin Hansen casting the B.C. Liberal government as supporters of education, health care, and women.

Amadee Braxton is the Administrative Coordinator with Iraq Veterans Against War, a new organization, but one with huge potential to impact the anti-war movement in the United States. Braxton spoke with Seven Oaks about the organization’s upcoming plans, which include a March 19 demonstration at the Fort Bragg military base in North Carolina.
