Gilberto Soto was on the front-line of efforts to organize trucking workers on the docks, from the Jersey shores to Central America. Late last year, Soto was murdered in his native El Salvador, leaving friends and fellow union activists questioning whether his assassination was linked to the international organizing campaign with which he was a central organizer.
